How to create templates for barcodes

With the Barcode management plugin, you can create a barcode template easily. The system is flexible to customize the paper's size and labels each printing paper roll.

By default, the system has 3 templates:

Standard
A4
Jewelry

If you want to create a new barcode template, you can go to: Barcode Management > Manage Templates

You can search templates by input search. The search function will return the resulting auto after filling on the text to the textbox.

You can click on each row to select to view the detail page of the barcode template. You can go to Barcode Management > Manage Templates > Create a template to create a new template.

On this page, you can fill in the information of the barcode template with:

Information	Description
Select Barcode Label Format	Show all templates of the system
Status	Status of the template There are 2 values: Active Deactive By default, the value is Active status
Barcode symbology	There are 9 barcode symbologies with the library: CODE39 CODE128 CODE128A CODE128B CODE128C EAN13 EAN8 EAN5 EAN2 UPC ITF14 ITF MSI MSI10 MSI11 MSI1010 MSI1110 pharma code Codabar By default, the value shows Code-128
Measurement unit	There are 5 units: mm cm inch px % By default, the value is mm unit
Template Name	Name of the template
Label per row	Disable this button if don't select any product in the popup
Paper width	The width of the paper
Paper height	The height of the paper
Label width	The width of the label
Label height	The height of the label
Margin top	The margin-top of the label
Margin bottom	The margin-bottom of the label
Margin left	The margin-left of the label
Margin right	The margin-right of the label
Font size	Unit is the pixel
Product Attributes	Allow users to choose to show product attributes on the label template. The value: SKU Product name Price Vendor Custom text (if the user clicks on this field, the input will be shown after)Don't show with Jewelry barcode type.
Use default	Allow you to use the default information of each template before
Preview	Allow you to preview the template before deciding to print
Print	Allow you to print templates
Save	Allow you to save all information on the template
Image	Image to preview barcode

After editing information of an existing template but not saving it, you can click on the Use default button to show the default information in all fields again.

About the Product Attributes field, if you want to add the custom text on the label, you click on the Custom text, and the text box will be shown after. The user fills text here.

If you complete filling in all information for one template, you can click on the Save button to save it. The template will be saved/created for the database. And you can use it later.
