How to manage POS denomination in your store
In your store, you may want to define all the units of money (or Denomination) that POS staff receive from customers or spend on paying store fees (electricity, repairing, …)
To manage this, first of all, enable the Cash Control in POS Settings (you can read here How to set up configuration for Magestore POS)
Go to Magestore POS → POS Settings → General Configuration
Enable Session Management → Enable Cash Control → Save
You can also go to the Denomination page by clicking on Manage cash denomination under the Cash Control field.
How to set Denomination for your store
After the above steps, go to the Denomination page to start creating your cash denomination
Go to POS Denomination → Add denomination
Depending on your store’s needs, you can define the cash denomination by those configurations:
Name: The name of cash that will be displayed in the Cash denomination grid and in Open Session, Close Session popup in the POS frontend. You can set the name in both numeric and alphabetical styles.
Value: The value of that denomination. You must fill in a numeric value for that configuration, for example: 100; 250; 1000; …
Currency: Define the currency that your store follows, for example, Vietnamese Dong (VND ₫), US Dollar (USD $), …
Sort order: The cash denomination with the lower sort order will stay first in the Cash denomination list on POS.
After configuring, click on Save to add this new cash denomination. You can also access each cash denomination for further editing.
Now you can log in POS frontend to check whether the cash denomination is shown on the Open Session/ Close Session popup.
Currently you can only use the denominations on POS that have the same currency compared to your Shopify store’s currency. So make sure you configure the matched currency.
