Connecting Global Pay Terminal with Magestore Window App and POS

Preparation
Before you begin, ensure you have the following (all are must-have):
Magestore Window App (see this guide)
Magestore POS (with Magestore Global pay already integrated)
Your payment device (e.g., Ingenico Lane 3000) and its accessories
A Windows-compatible device (e.g., tablet, PC) to run the Window App
An active network connection
A network cable
Steps to connect
The Magestore Window App acts as a bridge, loading your Magestore POS through its webview and managing interactions with the Global Payment Terminal via dedicated Windows services. You only need to use the Magestore Window App when processing payments or interacting directly with the Global Payment Terminal through Magestore POS.
For this guide, we'll demonstrate using the following technical details
One of Magestore’s project development site for Magestore POS,
an Ingenico Lane 3000 payment device, and
a laptop running Windows 11.
The connection to the Lane 3000 will be established via Serial connection mode on COM Port 2.

Detailed Step by step
Step 1: Configure Serial Port on Windows (after USB connection between Lane 3000 and laptop) Open Computer Management:
Press
Windows key + Rto open the Run dialog box.Type
compmgmt.mscand clickOK.Navigate to
System Tools>Device Manager>Ports (COM & LPT).
Troubleshooting: If your payment device isn't recognized after connecting via USB, your laptop might be missing necessary drivers. Please install the Ingenico USB Driver application.
Set the COM Port Number:
Double-click your payment device (e.g.,
Ingenico Lane3000).Go to the
Port Settingstab.
Double click on payment device (Ingenico Lane3000) >> Click tab Port Settings >> Click
Advanced.
Under
COM Port Number, select the desired Port for your payment device from the dropdown menu (e.g.,COM2).
Click
OKto save your settings.
Note: The COM Port may vary depending on the USB slot used. To force the device to a specific Port, refer to section 5.4 "How to manually enable the force COM feature" in the Ingenico Driver Installer User Guide.
Step 2: Connect Window App with the Payment Device Launch the Window App:
Open the Window App. The first time you launch it, you'll see the initial setup interface.
For subsequent launches, it will automatically load the previously cached URL. If you need to change the URL, right-click on any blank area within the app and select
URL Configuration.
Access Magestore POS through the App:
Enter your Magestore POS URL (prepared in Section 1) into the provided box.
Click
Launch.
Important: Remember to append /apps/pos/index.html to your Magestore POS URL before clicking Launch.
Once launched, you can interact with Magestore POS within the Window App just as you would using a standard web browser.
Configure Payment Terminal Settings in POS:
After logging into POS, navigate to
POS Menu>Settings.
Select
Payment>Globalpayment Terminal.In the
Globalpayment Terminalconfiguration, set the following:Device Type: Ingenico_EPOS_Lane3000
Connection Mode: SERIAL
Serial Port: 2
Verify the Connection:
Click
Saveto apply these POS settings.Then, click
Connection Checkto verify the connection. The payment device will process this connection request.
Once the payment device successfully processes the request, the Window App will display a notification confirming the connection status.
