How to apply or install the Epson self-signed SSL certificate on the local website on the computer
You need to install the Epson self-signed SSL certificate because the printer creates its own certificate to secure its local web page. Your computer does not trust this certificate by default, so installing it simply tells your browser that this printer is safe to connect therefore the pages work normally without security warnings or blocked connections.
You can also access the Printer Configuration Page via the printer’s IP address to temporarily “trust” the device. However, this trust expires after a period of time and requires you to log in again. Installing the Epson self-signed SSL certificate on your computer is a more sustainable and permanent solution.
