How to know your POS is in Online or Offline mode

For the first login, to check if your POS is in Online or Offline mode, you can look through the icon  in the left of search bar.

Open

Icon appears let you know your POS is in Online mode

• If the icon appears, your POS is in Online mode.

• If the icon  disappears, it means that the data synchronization between POS and server is completed. At that time, POS is on Offline mode.

• In this mode, your POS constantly gets information by making API calls to Magento. That's why when you log in from a new browser, you might see the (i) icon, as the data hasn't been saved to your browser's memory (cache) yet.

• This toggle on POS Setting decide you allow POS to become Offline or not. If you don't turn it on, POS will always stay in online mode.

Open

• After syncing all data to browser's cache, POS become offline mode. Icon (i) disappears

• While POS is in offline mode, it will still sync data with backend following the configuration of synchronization while getting data from browser's cache.

• In Offline mode, POS get data from browser's cache instead of calling API direclty to Magento

• In offline mode, items' price and salable quantity will be displayed.

• Faster performance: In offline mode, your POS uses data saved in your browser's cache instead of constantly making API calls to Magento. This helps speed up loading times and overall performance.

• Offline ordering: Your staff can still take orders even if the internet connection isn't stable.
  This allows your POS to work smoothly and efficiently, whether you have a strong internet connection or not.
