Before you start
For the setup of the printer, we will need the test receipts.
To perform a hardware test on your printer, follow these 5 following steps.
Turn off the Star printer.
Press and hold the feed button.
Turn the printer back on.
Continue to hold the feed button until the Network Configuration report prints out. This will print out two test receipts. At the bottom of the second page, it will show Current IP Parameters Status. Keep this page or note down the IP Address.
Setting up the printer:
Here you can take the following actions to set up the device successfully:
Download the latest printer driver (Windows version) for your computer on the Star’s website
Extract all the folder after downloading the printer driver and then double-click on the “Autorun” file (After that, follow the installation guide instructions)
Select the “Ethernet Setting” file to open the TSP100LAN Ethernet Setup popup through these steps (Star Micronics folder-> TSP100 folder-> Software folder-> Dated folder, ex: 20170120 → Select the “Ethernet Setting” file)
Select “Search LAN for TSP100LAN” on TSP100LAN Ethernet Setup
There will be an IP Address that automatically shows, and you need to confirm whether this IP Address matches the IP Address on the test receipt or not.
Click on Add printer queue to open the Add printer queue and port popup
You have to leave the port name unchanged with the original name, and you only can change the queue name if you want
On this popup, you need to click on Perform test printing checkbox, and then click on Complete button to set up successfully for the printer
