After an order management staff has assigned items in order to suitable sources, the warehouse staff in that source can create instant shipment (without going through a complicated pick-pack-ship process).

First, you need to go to the Order Details page of that order. If there are items in the order that have been assigned to the current source, the staff will see the Config Shipment section.

Here, you can select the Carrier, Service, Title, Package Type, Weight for your shipment.

Carrier and Service: If you are not using any integrated online shipping service with Magento, you may not need to care about these fields, just leave it as the default value. We have integrated with Shipstation, if you are using that function, you can have a look at this article {How to use RMS with Shipstation}

Title: You can fill in the name of the shipping provider you are using here, so that you can keep track of the shipment later.

Tracking Number: The tracking number is used as a reference so that you can check the status of the shipment with the shipping provider.

Package Type: You will select the package type you are using for the current shipment from a list of Package Type. Learn how to set up package type in here: {How to set up Package Type in your store}

Weight: Tracking the Weight of the shipment may be important as it is one of the factors that decide the shipping rate. You can change the weight measurement for the shipment following the guide in this link {How to config the measurement}

After you has filled in all the necessary information for the shipment, you can click on the Create Shipment button. Then the Create Shipment popup will show.

In the popup, you can select which items to be shipped in the shipment. After that, you can click on Create button to create the shipment.

If the shipment is created successfully, the popup will be shown, and you can see a message on the screen “Shipment created successfully!”.

You then can see the shipment you has just created in the Shipment section
