How to generate barcodes with flexible options
Besides importing barcode way, you can choose to generate barcodes automatically with Generate barcodes function.
You go to Barcode management > Generate barcodes:
The user goes to the Left menu > App > Barcode Management > Manage barcodes > Generate barcode to click on the Generate button. The Select products to generate popup will be shown after clicking on the Generate button
In the Select products to generate popup, the user can:
Select each product by clicking on each checkbox at the beginning of the row
Select all products in the current loading result
Select all products in this store
Select all products after the filter
On the first page, the popup will show 50 products. If the user scrolls down, the product will be loaded more.
If the user selects product more than 50 products, the number of the selected products will be shown:
50+ products are selected.
If the user unchecks any products on this popup, the number of the selected product will be shown: 49 products are selected. The link Select all products in this store will be shown again
After selecting all products on this page, show the link Select all products on this store. If the user clicks on this link, select all products with the filter.
If the search input text is not filled, all products here are all of the products in the store.
After selecting products on the popup:
Show the number of selected products at the next checkbox all products
Show the link "Undo" and replace "Select all products in this store"
If the user clicks on the Add button, showing a new popup with conditions to generate the barcode.
We have 3 conditions here:
Condition 1: Barcodes will be generated barcodes for all products or variants that don't have barcodes yet.
Condition 2: Replace any existing barcodes with new ones for all products or variants. If a product or variant doesn’t have a barcode yet, generate a new barcode.
Condition 3: All existing barcodes will be deleted. I can't be undone. I understood this point.
On the condition popup:
If the user chooses condition 1 and clicks on the Generate barcodes button, only products or variants that don't have barcodes yet then barcodes will be generated.
If the user chooses Condition 2, auto-show Condition 3 under Condition 2. The Generate barcode button will be disabled until condition 3 was chosen. After choosing Condition 3, the user clicks on the Generate Barcodes button, all selected products will be replaced/added barcodes with new barcodes
