How to set up Opticon 4000i Barcode Scanner via Bluetooth for POS

For barcode scanner connected via Bluetooth, you need to follow three steps below:

Step 1: Turn on the barcode scanner by pressing and holding the OPN4000i’s function key for 5 seconds until it beeps and begins to flash blue.

The OPN4000i is now discoverable by your host device. This can be canceled at any time by holding the function key for another 5 seconds.

Step 2: Head to your devices and open settings. For example, on iPad, go to Bluetooth section. Turn the bluetooth on.

Once your device locates the barcode scanner, tap it and wait for the Connected signal.

The OPN4000i will beep to indicate success or failure. If it’s connected successfully, the device will show two green lights and two beeps.

Step 3: Your scanner should now be all set up and ready to go.

To test that it’s working correctly, open the PWA POS app and scan a product barcode that has already been added in product catalog.
