Sales by Product Feature

I/ Overview

  1. As a store manager, if you want to know which feature of the product (attribute value, attribute set) brings great revenue to your business or makes your store cost much, this report is for you.

  2. To access the Sale by Product Performance report: Omni-channel Reports > Report Dashboard > All reports > Sales reports > Sales by Product Performance or Omni-channel Reports > Sales → Sales by Product Feature

The Sales by Product Feature Report page is displayed with the default view as below:

  1. Report details

On the main page, you can select metrics of the orders you would like to see in the report, based on the information you would like to see, including:

  • Time range

You can set the time range in which you want to see the data on the report (From a date To another specific one)

  • Data Used

Date used:

You can select either Item Created or Item Updated

By default, the setting would be Item Created

+ Item Created: Show report based on the date the item is created

+ Item Updated: Show report based on the date the item was last updated

  • Sales Channel

There are three options: All, Website, POS that you can select to show the report based on the selected channel. By default, the setting would be All

  • Location (This setting only shows when the Sales Channel is POS)

Include all the available locations where you use POS. You can select the location to show the data based on the selected location.

Sales by Attribute Set

On this report, there will be 2 types of columns: columns that are shown by default and columns that are hidden by default when you access the report

Columns that are shown by default

Name of the first column

  • Value= Attribute Value/Attribute Set

Revenue (excl. Tax)

  • The total revenue excluding the tax of the products in that Attribute Value/Attribute Set during the selected report period.

  • The currency will follow the Base Currency of the magento site.

  • Revenue (excl. Tax) = (Total Invoiced - Invoiced Tax) - (Total Refunded - Tax Refunded)

Revenue (incl. Tax)

  • The total revenue including the tax of the products in that Attribute Value/Attribute Set during the selected report period.

  • The currency will follow the Base Currency of the magento site.

  • Revenue (excl. Tax) = Total Invoiced - Total Refunded

Qty Sold

  • The total qty sold of that Attribute Value/Attribute Set

  • Value= Qty Invoiced - Qty Refunded

Average Selling Price

  • The Average Selling Price of that Attribute Value/Attribute Set

  • Value= Revenue (excl. Tax)/Qty Sold

  • The currency will follow the Base Currency of the magento site.

% Total Revenue

  • Value = Revenue (excl. Tax) of each Attribute or Attribute Set/ Revenue (excl. Tax) of all Attributes or Attribute Sets

COGS

  • The COGS of the Attribute Value/Attribute Set

  • COSG recorded when invoiced but if the product got refunded, it will deduct = Magento cost*(qty invoiced - qty refunded) of all the items belonging to the Attribute Value/Attribute Set

  • The currency will follow the Base Currency of the magento site.

Profit

  • The profit of the Attribute Value/Attribute Set

  • Value= Revenue (excl. Tax) - COGS

  • The currency will follow the Base Currency of the magento site.

Margin (%)

  • The profit margin of the Attribute Value/Attribute Set

  • Value= Profit / Revenue (excl. Tax)

Refunded

  • The refunded amount of that Attribute Set/Attribute Value

  • The currency will follow the Base Currency of the magento site.

Columns that are hidden by default

Qty Refunded

  • The units of the Attribute Value/Attribute Set that are refunded

  • The column will be hidden by default for all reports

Top Selling Product

  • Three products that have the highest Revenue (excl. Tax)

  • The product will be sorted by the Revenue (excl. Tax) (Highest to Lowest)

  • On this field, the product will display like this:

  • The column will be hidden by default for all reports

Refunded

  • The refunded amount of that Attribute Set/Attribute Value

  • The currency will follow the Base Currency of the magento site.

Invoiced

  • The Invoiced amount for all items for the Attribute Set/Attribute Value

  • The currency will follow the Base Currency of the magento site.

  • The column will be hidden by default for all reports

Discount

  • The total Discounts of all items for the Attribute Set/Attribute Value
    during the selected report period.

  • The currency will follow the Base Currency of the magento site.

  • This column is hidden by default.

Tax

  • The total tax of all items for the Attribute Set/Attribute Value during the selected report period.

  • The currency will follow the Base Currency of the magento site.

  • This column is hidden by default.

II/ Filter Report Data

On this report, you can filter by Product Name, Revenue (excl. Tax) (From-To), Refunded (From-To), Average Selling Price (From-To)

III/ Chart

In this chart, you can compare the data of each metric in the Report by selecting the value through the Select Metrics dropdown including (Revenue (excl. Tax), Revenue (incl. Tax), Qty Sold, Average Selling Price, % Total Revenue, Qty Refunded, COGS, Profit, Margin (%), Refunded, Invoiced, Discount, Tax ).

For the metrics that display the contribution of the data over the total, they will be shown by the pie chart, and the rest is shown by bar chart.
