How to manage POS role in your store

In the store, there may be some different roles like Cashier, Store Manager, Admin,…

With different roles, you can limit the functions each staff can access, and also your staff can focus on their work better.

  • Go to Magestore POS → Roles → Create role

    You can define the information (Title, Description) and the permission for the role.

    Checkout:

  • Add custom price on items: If allowed, staff can add custom price for the product during checkout.

  • Add custom sales: If allowed, staff can add custom product during checkout.

  • Hold Orders: If allowed, staff can hold order in the cart to reserve available qty of the product so that customer can checkout later

Session:

  • Opening and closing session: If allowed, staff can add custom product during checkout.

  • Make Adjustment (put money in/ take money out): If allowed, staff can put money in or take money out from the cashbox during the session.

External stock:

  • Check external stock: If allowed, staff can check the stock of the product in other location.

Orders:

  • POS orders created from location of the staff: If allowed, staff can see and manage POS orders created from the current location (mark as paid, refund, exchange) and can fulfill them.

  • POS orders created from all locations: If allowed, staff can see and manage POS orders created from all location (mark as paid, refund, exchange), but can only fulfill POS orders created from the current location. Must have "POS orders created from location of the staff" permission allowed.

  • All orders (POS orders & online orders): If allowed, staff can see can manage all POS orders and online orders (mark as paid, refund, exchange), but can only fulfill POS orders created from the current location or online orders assigned to current location. Must have "POS orders created from all locations

Refund and exchange:

  • Refund and exchange: If allowed, staff can do the refund or exchange for the orders.

You then can click on Save button to save the role

  1. After you have created roles for your store, you can manage them in the Manage Roles page
