How to earn Reward Points from Magestore POS

A. Earn Reward Points from Magestore POS

1. Rewards based on the amount your customer has spent

a. Set up the Earn Program

Step 1: In the Shopify admin, navigate to Joy: Loyalty Program > Reward Programs > Earn programs > Edit program "Earn points by placing order."

Step 2: Choose conditions for the Earn Program:
When the "Rewards based on the amount your customer has spent" condition is selected, enter the desired Earning Unit and Spending Unit values > Click “Save”

Step 3: Finally, activate the Earn Program.

b. Earn reward points from placing orders on Magestore POS.

For example, if the Earn Program rule you set is to earn 1 point for every $50 spent, the number of Reward Points your customer receives after placing an order on POS will be calculated according to the following formula:
Earn Point = Rounddown ((Total - Tax - Shipping Fee) * Earning Unit/ Spending Unit))
= Rounddown (($652.92 - $81.18 - $30.54) * 1/ 50)
= Rounddown (10.824)
= 10 Points

2. Rewards based on a fixed amount

a. Set up the Earn Program

Step 1: In the Shopify admin, navigate to Joy: Loyalty Program > Reward Programs > Earn programs > Edit program "Earn points by placing order."

Step 2: Enter the number of Reward Points customers will receive for each order > Click “Save”.

Step 3: Finally, activate the Earn Program.

b. Earn reward points from placing orders on Magestore POS.

For example: If you set "Set the amount of points will be rewarded for each dollar spent" as 1 point, regardless of how much your customers spend, they will receive 1 reward point for every order:

Currently, Magestore POS only supports earning points from the "Earn point placing order" program of the Joy: Loyalty Program app.
If you turn off this program, the label "Customer will earn xx Point(s)" will no longer appear at the final checkout step.

B. Review the Earning Points retrieved from placing orders

After placing an order on Magestore POS for a customer, you can review the number of reward points the customer received for that order at:

The PDF file after completing the order

The Order Detail

Reprint of the Order Detail

2. In Joy: Loyalty Program app

Step 1: Access the Customer details page

Step 2: Observe the changes in Point Balance in the Activities section.
