A. Redeem Reward Points on Magestore POS

Pre-conditions:

To utilize the Redeem Points function when placing an order on Magestore POS, it is necessary to meet all three conditions below:

Successfully connect the Joy: Loyalty Program app with Magestore POS (here)
Have at least one redeem program for Reward Points activated
Customers selected to apply the redeem program must have a Point Balance >= 1 point(s)

When all the above conditions are met, the "Point Discount" field will appear at the final checkout step:

1. Redeem points with a discount amount program

a. How to create a redemption program with a discount amount type

Step 1: In the Shopify admin, navigate to Joy: Loyalty Program > Reward programs > Redeem programs > click the "Add more" button.

Step 2: Choose the Discount amount in the "Add new redeem program" popup.

Step 3: Enter the desired redeem point and earn discount values > Click "Save" to save the program information.

Step 4: Finally, activate the newly created Point Discount program.

b. Use a discount amount program when checking out on Magestore POS

Step 1: Access Magestore POS Client > Select a customer with a Point Balance greater than or equal to 0
Step 2: Proceed to checkout > Open the Apply Point Discount screen by clicking on the Point Discount field.

Step 3: Choose "Use Point" to open the list of Point Discount programs > Select a discount amount program > Press the "Use xx Point" button to apply that redeem program.

2. Redeem points with a discount percentage program

a. How to create a redeem program with a discount percentage type

Step 1: In Shopify admin, access Joy: Loyalty Program > Reward programs > Redeem programs > click “Add more” button

Step 2: Choose Discount percentage in the "Add new redeem program" popup.

Step 3: Enter the desired redeem point and earn discount (%) values > Click "Save" to save the program information.

Step 4: Finally, activate the newly created Point Discount program.

b. Use a discount percentage program when checking out on Magestore POS

Step 1: Access Magestore POS Client > Select a customer with a Point Balance greater than or equal to 0
Step 2: Proceed to checkout > Open the Apply Point Discount screen by clicking on the Point Discount field.

Step 3: Choose to apply the Discount Percentage program.

Step 4: The Point Discount for the Discount Percentage program is calculated according to the formula:
Point Discount = (Total - Tax - Shipping Fee) * Discount Value = (Subtotal - Discount) * Discount Value
Example: Point Discount = (594.68 - 25%*594.68) * 15% = 66.90

Step 1: Access the Customer details page
Step 2: Observe the changes in Point Balance in the Activities section.
