How cashiers can redeem customer’s Gift Card to checkout on POS

You’ll need to Create a Gift Card product and configure Gift Card’s settings and template before customers customers can Use Gift Card to checkout order on Website then cashiers can help them redeem the Gift Voucher on POS

On POS: Gift Card module is integrated with POS, so you can also use Gift Card code to checkout order to POS.

When the recipient gets the gift card, they essentially get a gift code to use as a discount on your website or physical stores.

Let's go through the steps of how customer uses the new gift card in-store.

1. Add items to cart and create customer account

Step 1: Add items to cart and create customer account

It's not necessary to have an account to be able to redeem gift cards on the POS. Guests can apply gift codes and the system will record this transaction as Used by Guest in the Gift Code history.

However, in this BC, customer visits the store and decides to register to start accumulating reward points. Therefore we'll create a new account for customer and add items to the cart.

Your cashier can click on the order amount to go to the next step.

Step 2: Apply gift code to order

Click on the gift card section. This will open the gift card screen where the cashier can scan or type in the gift code and press Apply.

If the gift code is valid, it will be applied automatically.

Since customer's order is currently at $81, the gift card is more than enough to pay for the order.

The cashier can complete the order for customer and print the receipt.

Because there's still some remaining amount in the gift card, customer can spend the rest of the amount on customer next order.

When the gift code's balance is zero, the system will update its status to Used.

Step 3: Check gift card balance

The customer can check the gift card balance on the website after they log in, under the Gift Card tab.
