As the admin, I want to manage the product by serial number so that I can keep track on warranty and provide better technical support to sold item.
4. Main flow (Required)
The most common path of interactions between the user & the system:
The admin updates the attribute “is_serialized” of a specific product in the Admin Panel > Catalog > Products > Edit Product Page, the system processes and applies the “Serial Number” attribute to selected product
The admin then selects “Import Serial Number” to manually generate/update serial number to the product in Edit Product Page, the system processes and assigns the list of serial number associated with selected product.
5. Alternative flows (if any)
2.a The admin can assign the serial number to the product when receiving items on PO by scanning the serial number of the item after scanning its UPC Code, the system processes and assigns the Serial Number to the product.
6. Fit & Gap analysis (Keep internal)
Compare this use case with the current Magestore solution to identify 3 types:
Currently cannot manage the serial number of the product
Even when create serial number as attribute, still does not have “is_serialized” attribute to choose whether the product has SN or not
